A resident of Jacksonville, Florida, author Edward Caleb Coker is the great-great-grandson of Helen Ellsworth Blair (1817-1881) and William Warren Chapman (1814-1859). The former is known for her letters which chronicle life on the Texas frontier as well as in Brownsville and Corpus Christi.
